La Gallera!!! lanza su tercer disco en el histórico Teatro Huemul.
El sábado 15 de diciembre, la emblemática agrupación de cuecas lanzará su disco
titulado “Cantando como jugando” en un concierto familiar.
La agrupación de cueca chilena La Gallera realizará un concierto de lanzamiento de
su tercer disco titulado “Cantando como jugando” grabado en vivo en Estudios Triana
en el mes de agosto de 2012. Luego de dos años de composición, arreglos y ensayos,
decidieron registrar este nuevo material comprendido como un “desafío”, de componer en
el marco “de la libertad que nos entrega la poesía y el canto popular”, según señalan sus
integrantes.
El quinteto cuequero está conformado por Fernando Barrios (pandero, batajón),
Horacio Hernández (guitarra), Juan Pablo Villanueva (guitarra acústica y eléctrica),
Giancarlo Valdebenito (contrabajo) y Cristian Mancilla (piano, tiple y cuatro venezolano)
y en conjunto han mantenido el estilo de canto “por mano” o “a la rueda”, propio de
la cueca chilenera. En esta producción se logra percibir las influencias musicales de
sus integrantes, desde el folklore chileno y latinoamericano, hasta el rock y el hip hop,
tomando como desafío “jugar” con las melodías y las tradiciones musicales, siendo éste el
principal argumento de la obra.
Este disco está compuesto por catorce cuecas inéditas, con letras que refieren al contexto
sociopolítico que vive nuestro país, así como crónicas más intimas y cotidianas del oficio
del cantor y un homenaje al barrio Huemul, donde ensayan diariamente. Además incluye
un joropo y una canción.
El sábado 15 de diciembre a las 20 horas se realizará el concierto de lanzamiento en el
Teatro Huemul. El staff técnico estará dirigido por Gonzalo González de Estudios Traina y
el equipamiento técnico será surtido por Raf Sound Sistem. La entrada tiene un valor de
$2.000 y $5.000 con disco.
El histórico Teatro Huemul
El recinto fue construido en la década de 1910 en el corazón de la población Huemul,
y que fue uno de los primeros conglomerados urbanos concebidos con el concepto de
mejorar la calidad de vida de los obreros de la capital. Así, el proyecto arquitectónico
contempló viviendas amplias, servicios sociales, colegios, calles adoquinadas, plazas y el
teatro.
El “municipal chico” –como era conocido- fue restaurado tras el terremoto de febrero
de 2010 y ha vuelto a servir a su comunidad con un nutrido programa de actividades
culturales durante el año entre las que se incluyen el lanzamiento de “Cantando como
jugando”.
